The function for the
CMS is to create a Global Interface to view and access
all
VistaPlex® DVRS
systems that are accessible via the Internet or a private network. The CMS
administrator can create multiple levels of access for individuals or user
groups with all having their own permissions to view or have restricted access
for specific DVRS’s. Each user can create their own camera layouts to help
maintain an efficient visual contact with their responsible or desired camera
locations.

The CMS is built on the VistaPlex® state of the art proprietary embedded technology - ULTRESEC© Architecture. It is designed to be Secure, Stable, Resilient and Reliable.
No client software is needed, so you will not have to install software to operate the CMS. The CMS operates as its own server controlling access to and managing all requests for video but video does not pass through the CMS. It routes it from the DVRS to your computer. The minimum requirement for a local network is 10/100 Mbps. The minimum requirement for public access or Internet is a DSL connection. Depending on the application and desired experience an increase may be recommended.
Using the CMS helps to create a virtual management tool for owners and authorized personnel.
Having access to any given camera at any time throughout the video network saves time for management personnel. In the event of an incident personnel can see real time what is taking place.
Having access to multiple camera locations through a custom layout helps management evaluate how employees follow proper procedures.
